I can barely handle the three little dogs I have. ToTo, the white mini-Poodle weighs about 15 lbs. Dorothy Ann, the spotted Cavalier King Charles Spaniel weighs about 12 lbs. Pugsley, the Pug weighs 27 lbs. They all sleep in the bed with me and Mr. Man.

The dog in the above link weighs *240* lbs!! Mr. Man only weighs about 175 lbs…and I am catching up to him pretty quickly.

When Papa was diagnosed with cancer in June, he went berserk and wanted to get rid of his two dogs. Sweet Pea is a 15 year old bitchy old woman long haired chihuahua and Bandit is a sturdy, stocky 13 year old male miniature doberman. Papa has had them for over 10 years…since the Health Department got after my brother for having too many dogs in his townhouse.

Since the dogs had taken up residence with my parents in “the country” at our new place (another story yet to come), I began the campaign to “save the dogs” after Papa had a kidney removed in September and wouldn’t let the dogs back into the house.

I was out there on a daily basis…hauling the dogs into and out of the garage. I got there about 10 AM, fed and watered the dogs, then played with them and walked them. The dog run is BIG, but who wants to stay in a dog run all of the time?!?

I’d visit with Papa for a couple of hours, check on the new construction, and then head home. I’d go back out there in the late afternoon and feed them and haul them back into the garage for the night.

I finally Tom Sawyer-ed my brother (not the original owner) into taking Sweet Pea…just for the night. Poor old woman, it was 35 degrees! Even though Mr. Man said “NO MORE ANIMALS”, I told Bubba that I’d take her the next day if he could keep her one night…

Guess who’s the proud owner of a slightly used old dog?

‘Tis the Season

…for bossing my entire extended family and friends around!

I’m building a home on the 25 acres I received from Mr. Man for our 25th anniversary. We moved my parents into the existing house with all of our furniture and furnishings from our living and dining room. We used our empty rooms to store the beach house furniture since we sold the Galveston house in June.

Since I’m busy building and don’t have any “formal” furniture, I don’t have room to host a gathering this Christmas season.

I solved the problem by telling (I’m bossy) an old friend that she would be hosting our “Friends Gathering” this year. She didn’t even blink…

She knows I’m bossy.

Although I intended to furnish the food and drinks, she insisted that she would handle it. She even called me today to see if she could add some people to the guest list.

I said “No”.

I’m bossy.

PS.

A local neighborhood association is fighting with some homeowners about the Nativity which was placed for the holidays. I’m glad I’m moving to 25 unrestricted acres. I won’t have anyone else telling me what I can do on my own property anymore.

Victoria Osteen Removed from Plane

As Granny would say, “I guess she’s getting her comeuppance”. Rudeness is unacceptable even if you are Mrs. God.

Last I read, Jesus taught from under a tree or in a boat offshore…NOT in a mega-church after leaving his 2.5 million dollar mansion in his luxury vehicle dressed in his designer duds on the arm of a busty blonde, with Texas Big Hair.

I won’t even “go there” with what I think about Mega-Churches, but I thought we were taught that we weren’t supposed to worship idols…

Maybe God is dealing Victoria some humility?

I surely don’t know…after all, I’m just a bossy old bitch.

That’s My Name, Don’t Wear It Out…

It all started with some training for my three out-of-control dogs…Pugsley, Dorothy Ann, and ToTo.

ToTo is the eldest, at 11 people-years. He’s had a rough row to hoe in 2005, surviving a bad lung infection, cararact surgery, and being “fixed”.

Pugsley is the “middle child”. At 3 years old, he’s the love of my life. He is the cutest and most good natured dog I’ve ever seen, but he doesn’t take direction well.

Dorothy Ann is the baby, with all that having a toddler entails. She chews, pees everywhere, and is quite rambunctious.

We began training with Eric, of Custom K9.

My human children were aghast when I became the “Alpha” dog. They started calling me “Bossy Old Bitch”…
